Four Things That Decide How Your Point Loma Move Goes
Narrow streets and no driveway
Big parts of Roseville and Loma Portal were laid out in the 1920s and 30s, long before anyone was parking a 26-foot box truck outside. On plenty of these streets the truck parks at the corner and the crew shuttles. We plan for that and size the truck accordingly, rather than discovering it at 8am and charging you for the extra hour.
Hills, stairs, and canyon lots
The peninsula is not flat. Houses off Catalina and up toward the Wooded Area often have a flight of steps from the street before you even reach the front door, and canyon-side homes can have a second flight inside. Stairs are priced into your quote up front, never added at the end as a surprise line item.
Liberty Station has its own rules
Liberty Station is a converted naval training center, and the residential buildings handle move-ins more like a managed property than a normal apartment block. Loading zones, time windows, and sometimes a certificate of insurance for building management. Tell us you're moving in or out of Liberty Station and we'll deal with that side before the day.
Military moves and PCS timing
Naval Base Point Loma is minutes away, and PCS season runs hard through the summer. If you're doing a personally procured move or moving off base into civilian housing, that's a normal week for us. If your move is arranged through a DoD-contracted carrier, that goes through the military's own system rather than through us, and we'll tell you so rather than waste your time.
