Local expertise

We're Down the Road From the Base

Our base of operations is in Point Loma, in the 92106 ZIP code, which puts us a few minutes from Naval Base Point Loma and a short run from NAB Coronado, Naval Base San Diego on 32nd Street, and MCAS Miramar. We are not a national brand routing your job to whoever is available. We are a local crew that works this side of the county every week.

PCS season runs hard from May through September, and it collides with the busiest moving months in San Diego. Orders move, dates slip, and housing falls through. We know that is not you being disorganised, it is how the process works. Tell us early, tell us when it changes, and we will work with it.

MILITARY MOVES

What We Handle for Service Members

Whether you're moving into base housing, out to civilian housing, or organising a PPM yourself.

Personally Procured Moves (PPM)

Starting from $120/hr

Doing your own move for the reimbursement? We supply the crew, the truck, and the labor while you keep control of the move and the claim.

Off-Base Relocations

Starting from $120/hr

Moving from base housing into a rental or a purchase anywhere in the county. A standard local move, handled by people who know the area.

Labor Only

From $50/hr per mover

Got the truck or the container already? We bring the crew for loading, unloading, and furniture assembly. No truck required.

POD & Container Loading

Starts at $380

Containers loaded properly so nothing shifts on a long haul. Useful when your household goods are shipping and you are flying.

Storage Runs & Partial Moves

Starting from $120/hr

Half into storage, half to the new place. Common on unaccompanied orders and short-notice assignments.

Specialty Items

Starts at $280

Pianos, safes, gun safes, and pool tables. The things that are genuinely hard to move and expensive to get wrong.

What We Can and Can't Do for a PCS

If your move is arranged through the military's contracted carrier system, it goes through the DoD's own process and approved carriers. We are not part of that system, and no local moving company can insert itself into it. If that is your situation, work through your installation's transportation office.

If you are doing a personally procured move, where you organise the move yourself and claim reimbursement, we can absolutely help. That is a normal job for us.

If you are moving off base into civilian housing, or moving between two civilian addresses in San Diego County, that is just a local move and we do those every week.

We would rather tell you this on a webpage than after you have spent twenty minutes on the phone.

Doing a PPM? Three Things Worth Knowing

You'll need certified weight tickets

A personally procured move is reimbursed on the weight you actually moved, which means you need a certified empty weight and a certified full weight from a public scale. We do not operate a scale and we cannot issue those tickets for you, so plan the scale stops into your own day. Tell us you are doing a PPM when you book and we will work around the timing.

Keep every receipt

Your moving invoice, any materials you buy, and your weight tickets all support the claim. We itemise our invoices properly rather than issuing a single line that says "moving services", because a vague invoice makes the paperwork harder than it needs to be.

Book earlier than feels necessary

PCS season and San Diego's peak moving season are the same months. If your report date is in July, the last weekend of June is the hardest slot in the county to book. Two to three weeks ahead is realistic. A week is not.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Military Moving Questions, Answered

Yes. We handle personally procured moves, off-base relocations, and local moves for service members throughout San Diego County, and we are based in Point Loma minutes from the base. Local moves start at $120 per hour with crew and truck included.

Moves arranged through the military's contracted carrier system go through the DoD's own process rather than through local movers. If you are doing a PPM or moving into civilian housing, that is exactly our kind of job.

In a contracted PCS move, the military arranges everything through an approved carrier and you do not choose the mover. In a personally procured move, you organise the move yourself, pay for it, and claim reimbursement based on the weight you moved.

A PPM gives you control over timing and who handles your things, which is why people choose it. It also means the paperwork is yours to manage.

The same as any other local move: $120 per hour with a crew and truck included. A one-bedroom typically runs $360 to $480, and a two-bedroom $600 to $840. Labor-only help, where you supply the truck, starts at $50 per hour per mover.

We do not charge a different rate for military customers, and we do not run a "military discount" that is really just the normal price with a sticker on it.

Yes. A personally procured move is reimbursed based on weight, so you need a certified empty weight ticket and a certified full weight ticket from a public scale. Without both, the claim becomes difficult.

We do not operate a certified scale and cannot issue those tickets for you, so you will need to arrange the scale stops yourself. Tell us you are doing a PPM when you book and we will work around your timing. We also itemise our invoices properly, which helps the rest of the paperwork.

Two to three weeks ahead if you can, and earlier if your report date falls between May and September. PCS season and San Diego's peak moving season are the same months, so the end of June and the end of July are the hardest slots in the county to fill.

We understand orders change. Call us as soon as you have a rough window rather than waiting for certainty, and we will work around it.

Yes, regularly. Coronado, NAB Coronado, and NAS North Island are all within easy reach of our Point Loma base, and we handle both the bridge route and the Silver Strand depending on timing and traffic.

Coronado has its own access quirks, including tight streets in the village and buildings with reserved loading times. Tell us the address and we will plan the truck around it.

Tell us your dates, even rough ones, and what you're moving. We'll send a flat-rate price, usually the same day, and we'll tell you straight if we are not the right fit.
